Overview

Fourteen Steam Roll 石磨肠粉王 in Bandar Puteri Puchong offers a refreshing take on classic Mandarin dishes, with their specialty rooted deeply in the traditional art of cheong fun and roast duck. Nestled in a cozy spot along Jalan Puteri, this restaurant creates an inviting space that balances the warmth of home-cooked flavors with a comfortable, air-conditioned environment—perfect for casual lunches or relaxed dinners.

The signature roast duck stands out as a centerpiece. Its crisp, glossy skin and tender meat suggest careful preparation and mastery over the roasting process. The accompanying herbal dipping sauce complements the duck without overpowering it, hinting at a nuanced balance in flavors that keeps patrons coming back. This dish alone reshapes expectations for duck lovers, even winning over those who typically shy away from the bird due to its juiciness and restrained fat content.

Cheong fun here is another highlight—silky, soft, and smooth, it recalls the authentic textures found in Guangzhou. Variety is a key selling point, with multiple flavors inviting diners to explore different tastes within a single meal. Though subtle, the soy sauce served with the cheong fun provides a delicate canvas that some find mild, while the sambal chili introduces a sharper, piquant contrast. Pairing these elements elevates the simple rice roll experience beyond the ordinary.

The prawn fritters offer a crispy bite that manages to hold its crunch even when not piping hot, filled with a balance of shrimp and vegetables. Although opinions on this dish vary, it remains an interesting sampler alongside other robust choices like the siew yoke, which offers that much-loved harmony of crackling skin and satisfying layers of meat and fat.

Fourteen Steam Roll appeals to those who appreciate authentic Cantonese fare without the fuss. Its comfortable setting and carefully curated menu target both locals seeking a reliable taste of traditional flavors and curious food enthusiasts eager to explore well-executed Chinese comfort food. The promise of free soup with orders adds a thoughtful touch, enhancing the overall dining experience.

In conclusion, whether you’re drawn to the smoky richness of roast duck or the delicate texture of freshly rolled cheong fun, Fourteen Steam Roll offers a well-rounded feast that honors tradition while embracing the modern demands of quality and ambience. It’s a noteworthy destination for anyone exploring the culinary tapestry of Puchong.

Was introduce by a friend to come here for their Cheong fun as it’s like what he had from Guangzhou. Came here for lunch and the crowd starts coming in. I had the roasted duck for take away under promotion @ RM58.00 per bird. It was so good eaten when warm. The skin was crispy , glossy and has very minimal fat on the skin itself. Yums combining with the herbal dippings to go wasn’t overpowering, done just right. The cheong fun here was so good and we had 4 types of flavours. Silky Soft and smooth Cheong fun , rarely you can get here in KL. The prawn fitter was crispy even when cold yet it’s full of filling with vegetables inside charging at RM3.00 per piece The Siew yoke was good too. Crispy and has the right layer of fat and meat to it. The rice was not to our liking though. We had a great time having lunch here. Definitely revisiting

Passed by their shop and decided to give it a try. Foursteem Roll offers a unique dining experience where steamed rolls are paired with a variety of dishes, including goose, duck, chicken, and mixed vegetables. The concept is innovative, making it a worthwhile spot to try. It's an ideal choice for a lunch break during work hours, thanks to its efficient service. For evening diners, parking is convenient as the area tends to be quieter after work hours.

Had lunch here after seeing a video recommending this place.... Well for me, nope not that great and the price is truly does not match what was claimed. Good yes, decent yes, great No. I can find better roast duck or goose elsewhere. Char siew is a huge NO. Hence the rating... char siew is not char siew....

Located not too far from Putri Mart Puchong. Their steamed rice roll is soft and smooth similar to those available in Guangzhou. I chose roasted duck as the protein to accompany the steamed rice roll. The meat is soft and succulent. We also ordered roast pork rice (skin crispy), roast goose rice and a serving of chenpi (陈皮) char siu. The char siu has a hint of chenpi. Roast goose on the other hand was a bit dried out. As for beverage we had kopi O iced (very light taste of coffee) and lor han guo drink.
